Welcome to my website. I'm Joey Mendolia, multimedia producer.
From 2018 to 2020 I worked for Alaska Public Media, producing stories all around the state. I climbed mountains to film backcountry splitboarders, filmed Iditarod mushers in -40 degree weather, and coordinated in-studio shoots with senators and representatives.
Two videos I produced each won first place for their categories at the 2019 Alaska Press Club. I also won a 2020 Regional Murrow Award for Excellence in Videography, and a 2019 Associated Press Award for Best Videography.
I was nominated for a 2020 Northwest Regional Emmy for a Multimedia Presentation.
I have a B.S. in journalism from Boston University and a M.S. in health, science and environmental journalism from Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism.
I'm passionate about wildlife and the environment, and love traveling to new places. If you have any inquiries, send me a message.
